After School Tutoring

After school tutoring is provided in math, science, and language arts. Students receive help with homework assignments as well as prepare for tests. Extra help is also provided in special subjects as needed. The After School Tutoring Program is comprised of retired educators and college students attending Fort Valley State University. The After School Tutoring Program also incorporates recreation that connects youth with other young men within a fun, safe and engaging environment. Program participants engage in a variety of games and activities (e.g., basketball, dancing, running, bowling, art, music, etc.), which helps build their social and communications skills.
